Meiman bonuses: how to earn them and what to spend them on

Bonuses are an internal discount on a booking. You earn them by inviting friends, they sit on a bonus balance and come off the price of your next trip. They cannot be withdrawn as cash, but they do become a real part of the bill.

Where bonuses come from

For an invited friend. Your account has an «Invite friends» section with your personal link. Your friend follows it and registers — they immediately get 200 som and you get 100. It happens at registration, there is no need to wait for their first trip. Full terms are in the referral programme.

From support. Bonuses are sometimes issued by hand: as part of a promotion, or as compensation when something went wrong with a booking. Those land on the same balance.

How much can be used on one booking

Bonuses cover 10 to 15% of a booking, and the exact limit depends on the property. The figure is not arbitrary: Meiman pays bonuses out of its own commission, so the ceiling matches the property plan.

An example: a 5,000 som booking with a 15% limit takes up to 750 som in bonuses, even if your balance is larger. The rest does not disappear and waits for the next booking.

Which part of the price the bonus comes off

This is where the confusion usually starts. A booking has two parts: the deposit on the platform and the balance at check-in. Bonuses reduce the check-in amount first, and only reach the deposit if that was not enough. So if you applied bonuses and the amount due now did not change, nothing is broken — the discount is waiting for you on arrival.

How to apply them

1. Choose a place and dates and go to the booking form.
2. The calculation shows your bonus balance and a field for how much to use.
3. Enter an amount within the limit and send the request.
4. The bonuses you applied are reserved for that booking.

After that it is the usual flow: the host confirms, you pay the deposit — payment methods.

What happens if the booking is cancelled

What bonuses cannot do

• be withdrawn as cash or passed to another person;
• cover a whole booking — there is a limit;
• be earned twice for the same person: everyone counts as an invited guest only once.

In clear cases of abuse a bonus can be revoked — rare, but the rule exists.
