How to book accommodation in Kyrgyzstan

Booking on Meiman takes a few minutes: you pick a place, send a request, the host confirms it within 6 hours, and then you pay the deposit. Here is every step.

1. Choose a city, dates and guests

Enter your destination and dates. The most common ones are Bishkek, Issyk-Kul, Karakol and Osh. In summer Issyk-Kul sells out weeks ahead; in winter demand moves to Bishkek and the Karakol ski area.

2. Compare the options

The search includes hotels, apartments, guest houses, cottages, sanatoriums and yurt camps. Look past the photos: each listing states the amenities, check-in rules and cancellation terms.

3. Ask the host

You can message the host before booking — about arrival time, parking or meals. See 5 questions to ask a host before booking.

4. Send the request

Most properties in Kyrgyzstan confirm bookings manually — that is how the local market works. You get an answer within 6 hours, and the status is visible in the app and in your account.

5. Pay the deposit

After confirmation you have 2 hours to pay, otherwise the booking is cancelled automatically. You can pay by QR or from your own banking app, or by bank card — see How to pay for your booking. Meiman holds the deposit until you check in and only then passes it to the host; the rest you pay on arrival.

Once paid, the booking moves to «Active» and the host contacts open up.
