Hotels and Guest Houses in Osh

Booking hotels and guest houses in Osh with Meiman

Osh is the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan and one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. It sits on the route to the Pamir Highway, Uzbekistan and the mountain districts of the Alay Valley. Meiman lists around 100 places across the city: hotels in the centre, short-term apartments, hostels and guest houses in the residential neighbourhoods.

What to choose

Hotels suit short visits and business trips — close to Sulaiman-Too, the Osh Bazaar and the main offices. Short-term apartments are the largest group in the city: private kitchen, laundry, flexible check-in, taken by families and by travellers preparing for the Pamir Highway. Hostels hold up the southern route: a bed, a shared kitchen and other travellers heading for Sary-Tash and Khorog. Guest houses sit between the two, with home-cooked food and help with transfers.

Where to stay

The centre — near Sulaiman-Too, the old bazaar and the main restaurants, ideal without a car. Near Osh Airport — useful for early flights and short layovers. The Cheryomushki and Zainabetdinov districts — quieter and cheaper than the centre, convenient when travelling by car. Near the bus station — practical if you continue by marshrutka to Sary-Tash, Khorog or the Fergana Valley.

When to book

In summer Osh carries the transit traffic towards the mountains and the border, and the centre and the hostels fill up faster. Spring and autumn are quieter and cheaper. Winter demand is mostly business travel.

Payment and check-in

QR is the most common payment method in southern Kyrgyzstan; cards are accepted too. Some properties confirm a booking right away, others are confirmed by the host after checking the dates. Once it is confirmed, you pay a deposit: Meiman holds it until you check in and only then passes it to the host; the rest is paid on arrival. Check-in, parking and transfers are arranged in the chat with the host right after booking.
