Hotels in other cities
Other stays in Osh
Read in the Journal
Osh is the country's second city and the gateway to everything in the south: direct flights land here, and the roads to Uzbekistan and up the Pamir Highway start from town. There are not many hotels, and they fill up in season, so it is worth booking ahead — especially for a weekday work trip.
The centre around Lenin and Kurmanjan Datka streets puts Sulaiman-Too, the museums, offices and most cafés within walking distance. The area by the Osh bazaar suits trading business — the market opens early. Closer to the airport and the Bishkek highway hotels are taken for early departures and night layovers.
An invoice for a work trip, breakfast and a reception desk staffed at night — that is where a hotel beats the private sector here. If your flight is early, ask about a transfer: the airport is within the city, but a taxi takes longer to find at night.
Osh has more to offer outside hotels: apartments are cheaper from the third night and come with a kitchen, and guest houses add breakfast and a host who knows the routes south.
You book directly, with no agency fees. Some hotels are confirmed straight away, others once the host has checked the dates. Meiman holds your prepayment until you check in and passes it on only afterwards; the rest you pay on arrival. You can pay by card or by QR.
